10 tracks at ~33 minutes

This is the "remarkably full-blown" demo as noted in the Nirvana bible, Come As You Are. It was recorded at KAOS Radio in April 1987 during a live midnight broadcast and is the earliest known "studio" recording of Nirvana. Some highlights include the only recorded performance of the Thunder and Roses cover "White Lace and Strange", as well as rare performances of "Anorexorcist" and "Pen Cap Chew". Even the known songs are much different than the forms they eventually took, thanks to the powerfully drunken drumming of Aaron Burkhardt...Hell, the whole damn show is a highlight. Enjoy.

Note: These files are encoded directly from the "KAOS Master Gold CD", as remastered by Jim Bliss, who did an excellent job considering the original state of the recording. Therefore, despite the low bitrate, these offer much better sound quality than the countless analog-sourced copies floating around on the 'Net...(gee, do I sound "indier-than-thou" or what?)
